This lightweight structure is a simple but visually engaging extension of the cultural activity happening in downtown Newark, and brings that activity out into the public realm. The project creates an opportunity to collaborate with cultural institutions in partnerships that drive public awareness and attention back to the institutions’ other public, and often less visible, pursuits. 

The form provides a sheltered belly for outdoor art education and workshops, as well as a large screen for films and events.
