Construction on the long sauna is underway.

The sauna and pond are a communal hub in an active agricultural landscape.

Set between a pasture and a man-made pond this small sauna emerges as the extension of a long fence with cows on one side and recreation on the other. The fence’s rough unplaned hemlock boards meet the smooth cedar sauna walls forming spaces for a shaded deck and rock garden.

The softly curved interior orients the gaze toward views of the meadow and pond while creating a sheltered space around the wood sauna heater.
